BAI KANU
QHS STUDENT AND VARSITY SOCCER PLAYER

The QHS Boys Soccer Team is hosting a "Battle for Bai" all day soccer event to help fellow teammate, Bai Kanu, with his long-term recovery.

Bai was struck by a car while riding his bike in early October 2012.  He suffered severe head trauma and his prognosis was day to day.  Click here to continue reading more about Bai's recovery and progress.

Update 4/3:  Bai is now out of rehab and is home with his family recuperating and doing out-patient rehab!

BATTLE FOR BAI SOCCER EVENT

Bai’s first love was soccer and he lived to play the game.   It breaks our hearts to know that he will no longer be able to do this.  The QHS Boys Soccer Team has been waiting on the sidelines to show our support of our teammate.  After multiple discussions, “Battle for Bai” was born and seemed to be a fitting way for the team to show our support.  We hope that this event will bring the community together in support of Bai as he battles back from his accident.

The Battle for Bai Soccer Event will have a penalty kick competition for ages U10, U12 and U14 in the morning and a high school age 6 v 6 tournament in the afternoon.  The day will also feature raffles and/or a silent auction, concessions and other activities.

You can show your support by fielding a team for the tournament, entering a child into the penalty kick competition, making a donation, attending the event and by spreading the word.  Please visit the pages using the links to left to learn more about each.

All proceeds from this event will go towards Bai's long-term recovery and needs.

Thank you for your support!
